About Us
Jeanne Wiley, RPR, CCR, has been a professional stenotype reporter for over 30 years. She, along with her partner Nancy Cook, founded the firm in 1984. When Ms. Cook left in 1994 to pursue a legal career, Jeanne became the sole owner and has grown the firm continuously, becoming one of the largest court reporting firms in Virginia.
In addition to her duties as a working reporter and company manager, Jeanne maintains a high degree of commitment to her profession, having served on numerous committees for the Virginia Court Reporters Association and as the Chief Examiner in Richmond for a number of years for the NCRA testing program. She was elected president of the VCRA in 1995/1996, and in 2003 received the prestigious Frank G. Tayloe Award for her many contributions to the profession.
Cheryl Campbell, the office manager, epitomizes the longevity and professionalism of Cook & Wiley, having been with the firm for over 20 years. In addition, Jennifer Cather, the production manager, has been with the firm since 2000. Our newest associate, Colleen Torpey, joined us in 2006 as our scheduling coordinator after graduating from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Many of our reporters have been with the firm in excess of 10 years, with some having over 15 years’ experience with Cook & Wiley. The firm strives to foster a culture of longevity which benefits our clients and our professional staff and contributes to our client-focus commitment.
